IAB Sage 50 Computerised Accounting
Course Details
This course will enable you to gain an accredited Level 1 and 2
qualification in bookkeeping, while at the same time gaining a
qualification that is accredited by the IAB (International Association
of Book-keepers) and Sage - two of the biggest names in the bookkeeping
industry.
As
well as learning the essential principles of Book-Keeping you will
learn to use Sage 50 Accounts which is widely regarded as the market
leading accounting software for small to medium sized businesses
The course covers the essential areas of bookkeeping including exporting and importing
data and electronic submissions, creating management reports, data security and
creating and emailing invoices and statements.
Qualifications
At the end of your IAB Sage 50 Computerised Accounting course, you will gain the following awards and certificates:
IAB Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting for Business
IAB Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounting for Business
Sage Certificate of Competency
This
course will add value to your CV by demonstrating your commitment to
your own personal development, as well as demonstrating your skill and
competence as a trained Book-Keeper with a sound working knowledge of
IAB Book-Keeping and Sage.
Gaining the IAB Level 2 certificate will also make you eligible for
Associate membership of the IAB, allowing you to use the letters AIAB
after your name.

Study Details
In order to assess your progress and obtain feedback you will be
required to complete 19 assignments during your studies. These will be
sent to your personal tutor for assessment.
There is a total of eight IAB knowledge tests and two Sage tests taken at home.
You will also receive four books containing 19 units, and receive 18 knowledge lessons and 72 short sessions in Sage.
Most students can complete the IAB Sage 50 Computerised Accounting course within approximately 190 hours of study.
Note: The minimum computer hardware requirements for this course are;
- 1 GHz or faster processor
- 512mb ram or higher
- 400MB of available hard disk space for installation
- Internet Explorer 6 or higher
- DVD-ROM drive
- 800x600 or higher resolution screen with 16 bit high colour
- Your operating system must be at least Windows 2000(SP4), WindowsXP(SP4), Windows 2003 or Windows Vista.
